As a Clinical Psychologist, I aim to be warm, approachable and supportive, but also challenge you where necessary. I am very aware that choosing to engage in psychological therapy is a big decision for most people, so my intention as your Psychologist is essentially to partner with you to make progress on the issues you bring to each session and on your overall treatment goals.
As your Clinical Psychologist, I aim to be warm, approachable, genuine and supportive. With the use of evidence-based techniques, I will challenge you so that you can achieve your treatment goals. As your child’s Clinical Psychologist, I will also do whatever I can to include you as the parent in our sessions. As a parent myself I understand only too well how important it is for you to be informed as to the strategies that your child is learning.
I appreciate that it is not an easy step for people to see a Psychologist for the first time. I think that it’s important to be a warm presence for people, to actively listen and gently challenge where necessary as well. I think that there can be a place for humour when working with people. I use different evidence-based approaches and work with individuals, families and couples too.
As your Clinical Psychologist, I encounter you with openness, kindness, respect and appreciation. I am aware of the effort you make when engaging with a psychologist and I know how essential the trust is that we need to build together. It is important to me that we actively work together as a team, caring for your values and aiming to work towards your personal goals. And I kindly like to challenge you when necessary, as often the challenges make the changes.
As a Clinical Psychologist, my approach is gentle, kind, and flexible. I take the time to listen to each of my clients carefully, and together we work out a plan for how I can help them best. While I have experience working with a range of concerns, I have two overlapping areas of passion; working with young children and working with new parents. I find it incredibly rewarding to support families through these important stages. I love the hopefulness of these early years,
As a Clinical Psychologist, I aim to bring quality therapy sessions that equip and empower my clients to conquer their difficulties. However, it is equally important to me to be a down to earth clinician that is relatable, approachable and warm. I am deeply passionate about equipping and empowering people to move through life’s difficulties and to live their best life.
